About us

The Tipsy Tart became a reality in 2013 after a fabulous dream to make and sell liqueurs after much praise from family and friends for Christmas liqueurs given as gifts.

With much encouragement from everyone and many hours of research and back breaking work, the Tipsy Tart  opened for business on our local market stand on Easter Day in April 2013 were we sold out completely.  Since then, our family based Company has grown from strength to strength and is now a full time job where we travel the UK selling at food and drink festivals, markets, delis and pubs.

The fabulous name of The Tipsy Tart was always going to be called just that as its origins come from South Africa where we grew up enjoying a family favourite and extremely delicious winter warming sponge pudding which is soaked in brandy syrup as soon as it comes out of the oven.  It is enjoyed with cream, custard or ice cream.

Not only have we won an Award for our vodka liqueurs and a 5 start hygiene rating when we completed a compulsory Audit for HACCAP but we have also been awarded at the Ludlow Food Festival the "Best Festival Trader".

We have hosted three very successful charity events in Ludlow with local bands such as "Soul Supply", the tribute band "Take That" and in February this year at The Brewery in Ludlow we hosted a sell-out vintage evening with the very talented The Polka Dots who had everyone dancing and singing songs both old and new.

The Tipsy Tart through this event and throughout the summer at festivals with a fun cut out board raised £1500 for Alzheimer's Society - West Midlands.

We love the motto "Every bottle tells a story" and wish all our customers, old and new lots of belly laughter with family and friends and that your happy hour is one which will be memorable for years to come.

If you would like us to host a cocktail party, hen party, charity event or even organising your wedding and are looking for ideas as gifts for your guests, please contact us and we will do our best to help and attend to your needs.

Big hugs and much love,
